CryoPen
CryoPen for Lesion Removal
What is a Cryopen?
The Cryopen is a handheld cryotherapy device that uses a high-pressure jet of nitrous oxide to deliver precise, controlled freezing to skin lesions. It is commonly used to remove benign lesions such as warts, skin tags, seborrhoeic keratoses, sun spots (solar lentigines), milia and some small superficial naevi.
How it works
The cryopen emits a fine, targeted stream of nitrous oxide at very low temperatures.
Rapid freezing causes ice crystals to form inside the lesion’s cells, damaging cellular structures and blood vessels.
The treated tissue subsequently necroses and is shed naturally over days to weeks, allowing healthier skin to replace it.
