Harness Regenerative Science. Elevate Your Expertise.
Expand your knowledge of regenerative aesthetics with our Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Masterclass at Emerge Aesthetics. Designed for suitably qualified practitioners, this training explores the science behind PRP, blood processing principles, skin and hair applications, patient assessment and treatment planning, helping you develop a deeper understanding of this autologous treatment approach and its role in aesthetic practice.
Understand the science. Refine your technique. Advance your practice.
Explore the science of regenerative aesthetics with our Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Masterclass at Emerge Aesthetics. Designed for suitably qualified practitioners looking to expand their knowledge of autologous treatments, this masterclass explores the principles of PRP preparation, its potential applications and the clinical considerations involved in incorporating it into aesthetic practice.
PRP is prepared from a patient's own blood, which is processed to concentrate platelets within the plasma. Platelets contain growth factors and other signalling molecules involved in normal tissue repair. PRP is used in some aesthetic settings for skin rejuvenation and selected hair-loss concerns, although the evidence for effectiveness varies according to the indication, preparation method and treatment protocol.
At Emerge, we believe that regenerative treatments should be underpinned by sound scientific knowledge, careful patient selection and responsible clinical practice. Our masterclass focuses on understanding the treatment process, managing risks and developing informed, individualised treatment plans.
What will you learn?
The science behind PRP – understand the role of platelets, growth factors and their involvement in normal tissue repair.
Blood composition and physiology – explore the components of blood and the principles behind separating plasma and concentrating platelets.
PRP preparation principles – understand equipment considerations, processing protocols, sample handling and the importance of following manufacturer instructions.
Skin applications – explore the use of PRP in aesthetic skin treatments, including patient suitability, treatment objectives and realistic expectations.
Hair applications – understand how PRP may be considered for selected hair-loss concerns, alongside the importance of appropriate assessment and referral where indicated.
Patient consultation and assessment – review medical history, suitability, contraindications, informed consent and individual treatment goals.
Venepuncture and infection prevention – explore safe blood collection principles, aseptic technique, sharps safety and appropriate handling of biological material.
Treatment planning and delivery – consider appropriate protocols, treatment areas, follow-up and factors that may influence outcomes.
Complication awareness and safety – recognise potential adverse events, understand risk reduction and identify when escalation or further assessment is required.
Aftercare and review – understand post-treatment advice, monitoring and the importance of documenting outcomes.
What will you gain?
This masterclass is designed to deepen your understanding of PRP and its potential role within a personalised aesthetic treatment plan.
You’ll develop greater knowledge of the science behind PRP, preparation principles, patient selection and the practical considerations involved in skin and hair applications. You’ll also explore the importance of maintaining appropriate infection-control standards, managing expectations and recognising the limitations of current evidence.
Where included in the course format, practical demonstrations or supervised learning may provide opportunities to explore relevant procedures and discuss clinical considerations with your trainer.
Our aim is to help you make more informed clinical decisions and approach PRP treatments with a strong emphasis on patient safety, responsible practice and evidence-informed care.
